Frequently asked Questions

VENUE

You’ll find our new theatre at 24 St. Andrew Street, Stratford, ON. The performance space seats 58 and is fully accessible. The public areas include a cozy lobby with a small bar, and two all-gender washrooms (one of which is fully accessible.)

Doors to the performance space open 30 minutes before show time. If you selected “will call” at checkout, you’ll need to pick up your printed tickets at the bar. Otherwise, please present your e-ticket to be scanned when entering the performance space.

All tickets are general admission. Please contact us ahead of time if you have specific seating requirements.

The lower level of the building houses our rehearsal hall, dressing room and greenroom. These areas are not open to the public during performances. Thank you for your understanding.

CONCESSION

The Pazzo Bar will be open before every show, as well as after performances for opening nights and talkbacks. Drinks are allowed in the performance space.   

PARKING

A limited number of metered parking spaces sit directly in front of the theatre. Further metered parking is available on Ontario Street, with paid lots on York Street, Erie Street, and at the corner of St. Patrick and Church Streets. Most locations are a 5-10 minute walk from the theatre. 

Some free street parking exists in the neighbourhood, but please pay attention to signs as it is not permitted on all streets.

Metering is enforced by the City of Stratford until 8 p.m. The meters take quarters, loonies and toonies, or you may download the Hot Spot Parking app and use your credit card. 

We recommend giving yourself plenty of time to find parking, especially during Stratford’s busy summer months

SEASON

Main Season

  • Our Main Summer Season consists of five main shows. These shows run for two or three weeks and have been fully developed by Here For Now.  Regular tickets for these performances are $32.50 before tax. If you are interested in coming to all five shows, you can purchase a season subscription for a 20% discount. See below for more information on this and other ways to save.

Previews

  • Preview performances take place before a show’s official opening. Previews allow the creative team to continue to develop the show with feedback from an audience. We view previews as a continuation of the rehearsal process and as such, tickets are $25 before tax. Each of the five main shows has two preview performances before they open.

Tuesday Talkbacks

  • Join us any Tuesday, for a post-show chat with members of the creative team. Stick around, grab a drink, and chat with us about your experience! Talkbacks are held in the performance space.

Limited Engagement Series

  • This is a series of shows that have been developed outside Here For Now by other artists. These shows have limited runs, with only 4 performances.  Tickets are $25 before tax. BUY NOW

Monday Reading Series

  • This is a new program for 2025. We are workshopping four new plays, each of which will culminate in a public reading. These readings are a chance for audiences to hear a play while it’s still being developed. The readings are informal - actors will sit at music stands and stage directions will be read out loud. You will have a chance to talk about the play with some of the creative team afterwards. Tickets for this reading series are Pay-What-You-Can.

TICKETS

Tickets can be purchased 24/7 through our online box office

  • You can also call the box office at 519-272-4368 or email us at boxoffice@herefornowtheatre.com (please do not include credit card information in emails, our box office will call you to confirm the credit card)

  • Tickets can either be printed or displayed on a phone, or you can choose to have us hold your tickets at the door for pick up.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Requests for ticket exchanges or refunds can be accepted up to 24 hours prior to the performance date of the tickets you are holding. Unfortunately, we cannot offer exchanges or refunds after this time.

  • To exchange or refund your tickets call our box office at (519) 272-4368 or email boxoffice@herefornowtheatre and let us know the date and time of the tickets you want to exchange and the date and time you would like to change them to

  • Any difference in ticket price will be charged when upgrading your tickets to a more expensive performance.

WAYS TO SAVE

Season Subscription

  • Season Subscription:  $150, including tax. Includes one ticket to each of our five main shows. Sorry, at this time we cannot offer any substitutions. BUY NOW

Pay What You Can Thursdays

  • A limited number of pay-what-you-can tickets will be available in-person at the door for every Thursday performance.

29 and under

  • A $5 discount is available for patrons under 29 years of age. Tickets can be booked online by selecting ’29 and under’ or by contacting our box office. Proof of eligibility will be required.

Arts Worker

  • A $5 discount is available for patrons who work in the arts. Tickets can be booked online by selecting ‘Arts Worker’ or by contacting our box office. Proof of eligibility will be required.
